Initially, Linx Group was contacted by a large construction firm because the owners were experiencing conflict, frustration and burnout. The ownership group of this fast growing company worked hard to build a business now generating strong profits. In the growth process, though, they reached their limitations in how they dealt with role confusion, different exit strategy timelines and means, and a lack of shared vision for the business.
Linx Group was retained to help address partners’ conflicts and establish a strategic plan for the business. The following activities were initiated:
As efforts continued with the senior management team and partners it became important to involve a broader team of individuals. Thereafter, planning efforts expanded to involve more middle managers. In addition, a formal leadership development program was initiated to train and develop the “next generation” of leaders within the business. The program uses a character-based approach, focusing on individual commitment, character and competence. Executive coaching was also an essential component of the program.
Linx Group remains a trusted advisory team that has not only directly assisted the organization but has also referred respected professionals to bring skills in critical areas.
